Hi Joan. Thanks! I use a bunch of different inks (Higgins, Sumi, walnut ink). Full disclosure: I tweaked this guy a bit after scanning him...he was originally more magenta/pink, but I've achieved this color with a combination of yellow and red Higgins.
Love the colors! for some reason when i saw your illustration i thought of one more color. gold. like a gold coin or something lying around..just thinking..lovely!
The brightness of your colors is lovely. What paints are you using?..Watercolors or gouaches watered down or those gouache inks?
